Innsbruck, Austria, January 25, 2013 – terna, a business software specialist, met with shareholders of OPUS Solution AG, based in Root, Switzerland, to complete the acquisition of 100 per cent shares.

The well-known Swiss provider of business software applications based on Microsoft Dynamics AX generated a turnover of CHF 4.3 million in 2012 and has consistently recorded positive earnings for many years. With 26 employees, OPUS supports over 150 mid-sized companies and maintains long-standing partnerships with Microsoft Dynamics partners in Switzerland. OPUS has two main areas of focus: customers with project-related business dealings and the entire human resources management and payroll accounting sector using the certified in-house solution ‘Payroll Swiss for Dynamics AX’.

Current shareholders Isabelle Geissmann and Eligius Emmenegger will remain active in senior positions within the company. OPUS will continue to operate as an independent company and continue to expand its range of human resources applications for Microsoft partner companies.

“We are significantly strengthening our presence on the Swiss ERP market by acquiring Opus. We also want to successively transfer OPUS’ expertise from the professional services environment to locations in Austria and Germany,” says CEO of the terna Group Christian Kranebitter regarding his motivation for the takeover. “In addition to being directly involved in projects, we will also continue to maintain the good relationships that OPUS has with Swiss Dynamics AX partners and develop channel business internationally. With the acquisition of OPUS Solution AG, terna now employs approximately 200 people at 8 locations in Austria, Germany and Switzerland.
