Innsbruck, 05 February 2014 – The CBR Fashion Group owns the Street One and CECIL brands and is one of the top ten fashion companies in Germany. With Infor M3, the globally active fashion company is opting for modernity when it comes to business software. Systems vendor terna has been tasked with executing the implementation project.

The CBR Fashion Group is not only a trendsetter in fashion. When it comes to business software, the fashion company doesn’t take cues from the fashion industry; rather, it consciously opted to take a best-of-breed approach. In a large-scale selection process, the CBR Group evaluated a total of 23 ERP providers. The company ultimately decided that Infor M3 best covered the requirements of the mid-sized corporate Group and commissioned systems vendor terna with the implementation.

“The high scalability, comprehensive functions in the standard version and fully integrated financial accounting convinced us that Infor M3 is a sustainable and modern solution. By choosing terna, we opted for an implementation partner that understands the requirements of our industry and can implement them fast.”

The ERP team got the go-ahead in October 2012. In the meantime, CBR, aided by terna, successfully completed the first stage of the implementation project with a series of ‘go-live’ implementations. All 13 companies affiliated with the fashion Group, including Street One and CECIL, have been working with Infor M3 in finance and to some extent in purchasing since October 2013.

“It’s possible to adapt the Infor M3 interface to the individual needs of each employee and role. This ensures even greater ease of operation and optimally supports our employees’ work processes,” says Gilbert Passarotto, impressed with the experiences with the Infor Smart Office user interface so far.

Further project steps include implementing the fashion sales and fashion purchasing modules as well as integrating an external logistics service provider and the go live in shopfitting. The system is currently operated in the terna GmbH data centres with Jumpstart ERP, the managed ERP service from terna. Infor M3 has been running locally at CBR on IBM servers (IBM iSeries 720 and 740) since the beginning of 2014.

CBR would like the solution to go live in all business divisions and companies by the beginning of 2015. This should completely substitute the in-house solution currently in operation and the majority of the 126 different software solutions.
