Challenge: An existing energy-monitoring solution was inflexible and not integrated into broader analysis. A shared platform for energy management and IoT data was required
Solution: Implementation of the self-operated ThingsBoard IoT platform for device connectivity, data integration, analysis and visualization
Result: A flexibly extensible foundation for energy management, smart city applications, district-heating monitoring and digital groundwater-level measurement

Measurable success: Data from 1,500 district-heating meters, planned hourly readings from 450 groundwater sensors, and inclusion in the German BAFA list of eligible systems ahead of schedule
